The club is open to everybody and we are keen on those involved volunteering to help support the club. The only pre-requisite we have is that you can swim 50 metres unaided.
New members are asked to complete a medical needs form and a membership form. When they attend their first session they are greeted by a coach, who will introduce themselves and explain about the Club, expected standards of behaviour and safety. They will also ask about the new member’s abilities, experience and what they’d like to get out of the sessions. New members are also advised regarding the Club’s Facebook Page, Website and Email Newsletters so they can keep up to date with the Club’s activities.
The Club has a full range of equipment to suit all ability levels and disabilities: this can be borrow during our weekly sessions and hired for trips away. Giving you access to the sport without the financial outlay.
The links lead to the relevant forms these include medical history and photographic consent. Please complete these correctly so that the club can cater appropriately with different requirements.
There are copies of the Club’s codes of conduct in the club house, on the web site and new members are aware when they join, and are reminded at appropriate times if the need arises.
You don’t have to join immediately, you can try us out for 4 weeks before paying your membership fees.

The Club is moving toward using the British Canoeing Club+ membership system which allows us to use their database to store and update members’ details. The advantage with this is that you can update your details when required and also meets the demands of GDPR.
