This last weekend, 29th and 30th April, 7 Kingston members attended Marple Division 3/4 Slalom. This is a biannual event organised by Manchester Canoe Club.
All 7 paddlers entered on the first day, with some great paddling and improvement over the runs. Full 1st Day Results On the evening we had a torrential downpour, flooding the field and putting pay to sitting around the camp fire! Having said this, one of our members still enjoyed playing with his new friends.
Thanks to the downpour, the river levels on day two were a little higher, but the organisers had done a great job in setting the course, and adjusting the gates for the new river levels.
We had 2 KKC member paddling on the second day. Another great race, with loads of friendly support and competition. 2nd Day Results
