Summer river levels gives us the opportunity to coach beginners on the skills needed for white water.
Sunday 25th July say another one of these sessions led by Scott, one of our fully qualified white water coaches. The group was a little smaller than expected as some of the participants were forced to isolate due to Covid.
The paddlers were introduced to ferry gliding, breaking in and out and paddling with the flow. Yes, there were a few swims but its all part of the learning process and good to get any fears of swimming out of the way in a relatively safe environment.
Judging by the smiles we think everyone had fun. Thanks to Scott, our volunteer coach.
Check out our Events Page for more sessions.
