6th and 7th July saw the 22nd Hull Canoe Polo Challenge. This year saw a change in name to the Joy Davis Hull Canoe Polo International to recognised the contribution Joy has made to our sport.
40 teams, spread over 4 divisions competed over the 2 day tournament; there were teams from throughout the UK and Trekvogels who travelled from the Netherlands to add international flair. Summer arrived for the Saturday, which was a huge contrast to Friday which saw most of the club volunteers who helped set up getting soaked and cold.
Congratulations to all those that took part and to Dragon who were the overall winners after a sudden death playoff with the Kingston A team.
We’ve had many comments about how the club pulls together to make this event so special, thanks to everybody.
We hope you all enjoyed the event at much as we did and look forward to seeing you at next year’s event which will take place on 6th and 7th July 2013.
